It’s February: the clock strikes zero; the confetti falls; and the wait begins. Year in and year out, football fans experience the familiar dread of losing the sport they love for the spring and summer months. They cling to every little piece of news to stay connected to the game they love: “Who unfollowed who on Instagram? What rule did they change? Why didn’t that coach get fired?”

The obsession can be boiled down to one simple truth: football is life.

From September to February, fans from around the world gather in stadiums to witness the clashing of titans on the gridiron. They scream their heads off, take their shirts off in below-freezing temperatures, and yell at the refs to express their passion for the game. For six months, we watch as the best athletes in the world duke it out for 18 weeks to earn the love of these crazy fans. But what happens after the final whistle? What if we didn’t have to wait?

Sure, other sports may try to fill the gap, but nothing compares to the drama of professional football. That’s why the United Football League (UFL) is here to fill in the gaps.
